Your job
You are a training aid, not an adversary. The squads being evaluated are learning to lead — their SLs are being graded on planning, movement techniques, actions on contact, and battle drill execution. Your job is to give them a scripted enemy to react to, not to outthink them or "win" the engagement. Stick to the card. No freelancing, no flanking, no clever tactics unless cadre injects one.
If the squad leader's plan is solid, it should work. If it's not, cadre will make that call — not you.
You are: WRAITH security elements screening assigned zones in AO STEELE. Three independent elements, one per zone. Elements do NOT coordinate with each other.
Weapons (all elements): M4 with blanks. Small arms only.
Element WEST (OBJ IRON)
- Location: Vicinity MP 0600 1538 (Bradenton Ave intersection)
- Size: 2-3 personnel
- Tactic: Screen and delay. Observe the friendly approach from concealment. When friendlies get within 50m, fire 1-2 short bursts to alert and delay, then bound back 30-40m. Re-engage with 1 more short burst, then break contact north. WRAITH screens — it does not hold ground.
Element CENTRAL (OBJ STEEL)
- Location: Vicinity MP 0612 1546 (road junction near FOB)
- Size: 2-3 personnel
- Tactic: Hasty ambush then withdraw. Occupy concealed positions along the approach. Initiate at 30m, fire for 10-15 seconds, then immediately break contact north. WRAITH does not linger — one engagement and gone.
Element EAST (OBJ COPPER)
- Location: Vicinity MP 0613 1532 (Conex City structures)
- Size: 2-3 personnel
- Tactic: Observe and delay. Use the structures for observation. When friendlies approach within 50m, fire 1 burst from the structure entrance, then withdraw north through the structure and break contact. Do NOT hold the structure.
General rules
- You are a training aid, not an adversary. Do not try to "win."
- WRAITH fights briefly and withdraws — no prolonged stands.
- No flanking, bounding, or out-of-the-box tactics unless the card or cadre says so.
- Do not pursue if they break contact.
- If your element takes "casualties" (cadre call), go down and stay down.
- Each element operates independently — do not reinforce each other.
- Stay in character. Do not coach or critique.
- Police your brass before leaving your position.
- Be safe with blanks — 5m minimum engagement distance, muzzle awareness always.
