Your job
You are a training aid, not an adversary. The squads being evaluated are learning to lead — each SL is being graded on planning, assault coordination, and conducting a hasty Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) of the coordination center. Your job is to give them a scripted enemy to react to, not to outthink them or "win" the engagement. Stick to the card. No freelancing, no flanking, no clever tactics unless cadre injects one.
Three squads will execute simultaneously, one per objective. Cadre assigns one OPFOR set per objective. If manning is limited, rotate one set between iterations.
You are: Three independent COBRA coordination centers distributed across AO STARKE. Elements do NOT coordinate with each other.
Weapons (all elements): M4s with blanks. Small arms only.
Props (all elements): Handheld radio with antenna extended, message log (printed pages), map with markings, clipboard with notes.
OBJ STATION (1st Squad's Objective)
- Location: Vic MP 0600 1523 (Arcadia St / Bradenton Ave junction)
- Size: 3-4 personnel — 1-2 operators at a field desk or ground cloth, 2 security in fighting positions oriented south and southwest
CP Operators (1-2 personnel)
- Seated with map, clipboard, and radio — act like you're managing communications and message traffic
- Orient toward the southern approach, NOT the western woodline
- Weapons slung or set aside — you are coordination staff, not fighters
When contact begins:
- First priority: Destroy message logs and schedules — crumple, tear, or bag them to simulate burning
- Second priority: Transmit one radio message: "STATION under attack, requesting support"
- Defend yourselves only if directly threatened at close range
- Take "casualties" on cadre call when the assault element arrives
- Leave some materials — the SSE exercise requires captured documents
Security Element (2 personnel)
- Occupy fighting positions south and southwest of the coordination center
- When contact begins: return fire from your positions, oriented south/southwest, for 30 seconds
- Hold until assault element closes to 15m, then take "casualties" on cadre call
- Do NOT maneuver out of your positions or reinforce the operators
OBJ NEXUS (2nd Squad's Objective)
- Location: Vic MP 0602 1565 (Bradenton Ave / Jacksonville St junction)
- Size: 3-4 personnel — 1-2 operators at a portable table or ground cloth, 2 security oriented south along Bradenton Ave
CP Operators
- Same working posture as OBJ STATION
- Dense woods to the north are your notional withdrawal route — acknowledge in character if pressed, but operators do not successfully escape
When contact begins: Same priority sequence — destroy documents → transmit warning → defend as last resort → take "casualties" on cadre call.
Security Element
- Oriented south along Bradenton Ave
- Same fight-from-positions script — hold 30 seconds, take "casualties" at 15m
OBJ HUB (3rd Squad's Objective)
- Location: Vic MP 0611 1530 (Conex City center)
- Size: 3-4 personnel — 1-2 operators inside a structure working from a table, 2 security at the entrances
CP Operators
- Working inside the structure with props spread on the table
- Security at the entrances provides early warning — operators begin destroying materials at first sound of contact
When contact begins: Same priority sequence — destruction → transmission → defend as last resort → casualties on cadre call.
Security Element
- Positioned at structure entrances
- Hold briefly (15-20 seconds) when contact begins, then take "casualties" on cadre call as the assault element reaches the entrance
Do NOT (all elements)
- Maneuver out of prepared positions
- Pursue the assault element
- Successfully destroy ALL materials — leave something for SSE
- Counterattack from the flank (unless cadre activates MDCOA inject)
OPTIONAL MDCOA inject (cadre activates only)
- 2-3 additional OPFOR at one objective positioned in the woodline off the flank
- On cadre signal, open fire from an unexpected direction against the assault element
- CP operators successfully transmit warning and destroy all documents before being overrun
General rules
- You are a training aid, not an adversary. Do not try to "win."
- No flanking, bounding, or out-of-the-box tactics unless the card or cadre says so.
- Stay in character. Do not coach or critique.
- Police your brass before leaving your position.
- Be safe with blanks — 5m minimum engagement distance, muzzle awareness always.
