1. SITUATION

a. Area of Interest

Clay County, Florida, in the vicinity of Camp Blanding Joint Training Center. AO BAKER encompasses the area along the Bradenton Avenue corridor between Arcadia Street to the south and Jacksonville Street to the north, bounded to the west by Clearwater Avenue and to the east by the FOB perimeter.

b. Area of Operations

1. Terrain. The AO consists of flat terrain with sandy soils and dense pine and hardwood forests throughout. Thick vegetation and tree canopy severely limit observation and fields of fire except along improved roads and clearings. Visibility in the surrounding woods is under 50 meters in most areas. Bradenton Avenue runs north-south through the center of the AO, Clearwater Avenue runs north-south in the west, and Arcadia Street runs east-west in the south. Conex City sits on the east side of the AO with small structures providing concealment.

2. Weather.

c. Enemy Forces. VIPER: Vanguard Irregulars of the People's Emergency Republic

VIPER has established three guarded weapons cache sites across AO BAKER to support militia operations and future attacks on friendly forces. Each cache is manned by a small VIPER guard element (2-4 personnel) with small arms. VIPER guards are aggressive — they will fight to protect the cache, treating the weapons as high-value assets. Caches contain small arms, ammunition, and materials that would significantly enhance VIPER capabilities if not destroyed.

1. Composition. Three small VIPER cache guard elements, each 2-4 combatants with small arms. Total 6-12 combatants distributed across AO BAKER.

2. Disposition. VIPER cache sites are dispersed across the AO:

3. Most Probable Course of Action (MPCOA). Each VIPER guard element defends its cache position with small arms, attempting to hold the site and protect the weapons. Guards fight from their positions and do not attempt to destroy or move the cache. If overrun, remaining VIPER personnel break contact and withdraw. Nodes do not reinforce each other.

4. Most Dangerous Course of Action (MDCOA). VIPER guards detect friendly movement and call for a reaction force. A VIPER element from an unknown position moves to reinforce the attacked cache. Guards attempt to move the most valuable cache materials to a fallback position while the assault is in progress.

d. Friendly Forces

1. Higher Headquarters: A Co. 4th BN – 211th INF.

2. Mission. A Company destroys VIPER weapons caches in AO BAKER to deny VIPER the arms and materiel needed to sustain militia operations and conduct attacks on friendly forces.

3. Commander's Intent. Destroy VIPER weapons cache sites and their guard elements across AO BAKER to deny VIPER the capability to arm and equip militia elements for future operations.

e. Civil Considerations

Civilians reside near AO BAKER. The Conex City cache may draw civilian activity near the structure. Protect non-combatants and prevent collateral damage throughout the operation.

f. Attachments and Detachments

None.

2. MISSION

1st Platoon conducts raids in AO BAKER NLT ____ in order to destroy VIPER weapons caches and guard elements throughout the AO.

3. EXECUTION

a. Commander's Intent

Purpose: Destroy VIPER weapons cache sites across AO BAKER to deny VIPER the arms needed to equip militia elements and degrade VIPER's ability to conduct sustained offensive operations.

Key Tasks: (1) Each squad destroys the VIPER guard element at its assigned cache site. (2) Each squad secures weapons, ammunition, and materials from the cache and reports the find. (3) Squads consolidate after the raid and report findings to higher.

End State: All three VIPER cache sites raided and destroyed, weapons and materials secured or rendered unusable and reported, squads consolidated and prepared for follow-on operations.

b. Concept of Operations

1st Platoon conducts a decentralized raid operation across three independent squad objectives in AO BAKER. Each squad establishes its own squad ORP, conducts leader's recon, sets a squad-internal support element, and assaults the VIPER cache position. 3rd Squad is the main effort. Squads do not wait on adjacent squads; each executes its own actions on contact per SOP and reports.

c. Scheme of Fires

Priority of fires to 3rd Squad. Mortar support is available through company on request; any squad may request fires through the PL.
